Road Trip Coming Soon
Well, I feel the road approaching fast as this is my final weekend at home for a bit and I have to get some things this weekend for making the next trip. I leave Wednesday and will be landing in Las Vegas this time. I actually be spending time in Vegas till near the end of the trip. You can see the approximate stops along the way of this 17 day trip. I hope to have an opportunity to shoot some more at the Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelly, Tucson Cactus Sunsets, Vegas Lights and maybe even Death Valley.
Let me know if you see something along my route that is worthy of a look. All the best to you and thanks for following.

I've missed out on the Grand Canyon, there was always next time. I lost count of how many chances I had to go see it, but just didn't have the time.
Excited to see what you do with the Vegas lights! Vegas is one of my favorite places to visit! The Bellagio fountains, in my opinion are absolutely breath taking! Can't wait to see it all from your perspective! Safe travels to you. ~Sarah~
If you have time and have never been there, you might want to check out the East Mojave desert, just west of Needles. At Goffs is the Mojave Desert Heritage & Cultural Association, with a restored 1914 schoolhouse, a full-size replica of the original Santa Fe depot, and displays of mining and other artifacts throughout the grounds. If you go on a weekend, the schoolhouse museum is likely to be open. Otherwise, call ahead and someone will likely open up for you. Just beyond is the Mojave National Preserve. You can drive through the Preserve from Goffs to see the restored Kelso Depot. These Web sites should be self-explanatory, but don't hesitate to contact me if you want more insight into this beautiful but less-known part of the desert.

Say hello to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. 2 1/2-hour ride from Las Vegas. One hour further away, Bryce Canyon National Park. The area is a geologic wonder - its colorful limestone has been carved by erosion into thousands and thousands of arches, spires and mazes, called hoodoos. Well, you know it, I am sure.
Or Moab is always an option too instead of Zions. Arches National Park is beautiful!
I'm ready to enjoy your road trip to anywhere from my Lazyboy. I am loving all your wonderful photos.
Have a safe and happy journey.
I served a mission for my church in Tucson. I remember going to a place called Sabino Canyon that was just beautiful. It's been 10 years since I was there, but I'm sure it is still nice.
Just north of Benson is the artsy town of Bisbee. It's a wonderful old mining town, now filled with eclectic shops and people. Houses are built right on the hills any which way. It is something to see. We loved it there.
Of course, in Tuscon is the Saguaro National Park - gorgeous.
The botanical garden in Phoenix is nice.
It is HOT here -just arrived in Mesa today and it is 88 fun loving degrees! :)
I forgot to mention - in Sedona, do you know about the church in the rock?
Also, nearby Jerome, another artsy town in the hills?
Looking forward to your next batch of spectacular photographs. Have a great time.
Hey Steve, I'd recommend the Petrified Forest just S. of Holbrook, off I40. If you've never been, you have to go. Then Sedona, just S of Flagstaff. It is in the Oak Creek Canyon so you're in the canyon looking up, opposed to looking down as with the Grand.
Oops, I see you're headed through Sedona..
Well, if you're in Laughlin, stop and say hello to my ex-husband. He says he lives (in an RV) by the last light pole before entering California! LOL Of course, should you need auto repair work done, he is a very good mechanic and all you have to do is e-mail me and I'll send you his address and phone number. He works at his home, usually pretty reasonable too! Never hurts to have any "insurance" of various kinds when on a trip, does it?
Peace.
Jeni!
Wow! Thanks for that offer. BUT, I will be driving rental car and if I have serious trouble with any rental car on this trip ... I will take it on a drive into the desert and put a bullet in the gas tank and catch a cab back to town. AVIS thinks I am fairly unreasonable man.
