Focus Your Mind On Eternal Things
Those of you who know me personally ... know that I love McDonalds coffee. I drink 2 large coffees a day and it doesn't effect me, effect me, affect me eff-affect me effect me aff-ffect me hardly at all.
Actually, ... it' tastes like a bit of heaven for me! The BIG MAC may not make to heaven ... but the Coffee will!
Well, based upon McDonalds Corporation prices for coffee in Crystal Lake, IL as of today ...
Did you know ... that two cups of McDonalds coffee per day for 10,000 years would cost you $7,816,350.00. And that's only if there is a price freeze!
If you spend $2,000 a year on a vacation for 10,000 years ... it's 20 million dollars.
My point is this ...
If you know Christ personally and will live with Him eternally, you are very very rich!
In eternity, 10,000 years is a very short time.
Jesus paid it all.
We tend to grumble about being too busy to read His Word. Sometimes we go days and even weeks without talking to Him. We hardly ever speak up to tell others of the greatest gift of all, eternal life in Christ.
What are we doing for Him today?
Keep your mind focused on eternal things and the things that are of this world will grow really insignificant.
Dear Lord, make me, ... make us your willing servants today!
In Jesus' name. Amen.
