The Lord IS Good

Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Re sniping with machine guns:

During the Vietnam war, US Marine sniper Carlos Hathcock set the record for the longest confirmed kill at 2,250 m (2,460 yd, or 1.4 miles), a record which he held until 2002. He used a scoped Browning M2 machine gun, firing on the semi-automatic setting.

Amen, and it sounds like you'll be having the best of Thanksgivings, with family to share in the breaking of bread. God bless.
