Thank You So Much For Your Prayers!

Wow! Times like these really show me that there are so many kind people who follow NikonSniper. I am truly humbled by your kind words and promises to pray for my recent job loss. What a blessing you all are to us! Finding yourself jobless after years of feeling secure can be very unnerving. This is unchartered water for us but what incredible joy it is to know that our God is fully aware and that He isn't shocked or surprised. God isn't running around wondering if He is able to solve this dillema. It's small potatoes!
I know I am not the lone ranger here and I know that so many of you have been experiencing this same trial for a long time. I need to tell you that His promise is true! Our God WILL come through! Always! Do you know Him?
I think I am praying more than I ever have now as we have real need of His deliverence as a family but I want to thank Him for the years of protection He lovingly gave us through employment of nearly 25 years in the same location.
I also want to pray for you! If you are out of work or under-employed, please send me a first name and any details for which you would like me to pray. I want to pray for you ... and I WILL remember. In fact, I really can't forget right now as we find ourselves in the same boat. It would just feel so much better to be approaching God in prayer on behalf of you who are hurting for His provision.
May the God and Father of the Lord Jesus come to your aid quickly. May you choose to go to the source of all good things (James 1:17a) to give thanks for the things you have already. May we praise Him together!
God bless you today.
Thanks to those who have emailed job suggestions. You can email me direct at nikonsniperguy@aol.com. I'm not proud ... I am willing to wash your winshield at an expressway exit ramp near you for cash!

Somehow I think that he already knew you were going to lose your job and things upcoming are already decided too. The universe is unlimited. Source does provide. Of this I am sure. Blessings to you Steve.

Hi Steve, I'm very sorry to hear you lost your job. It must be a real shock after all those years. I don't know what your job skills are but Boeing is hiring is some job titles. (http://boeing.com/careers/jobsEvents.html)You might take a look just for the heck of it. Good luck with what ever you do next.

hey gerry!
great to hear from you. i was in seattle a few weeks ago but i wasn't looking at that time. my background is rather extensive in engineering and then the most recent years have been doing a combination of engineering support, technical sales, route sales all while doing a bit of standup comedy throughout all the changes. so let me know if you know of anything that could be high security department of intelligence with a need for doing impressions of john wayne singing christmas carols and miscellaneous schtick. actually i have experience in nuclear power plants, heavy material handling, wind tunnels, and web printing equipment. i am also considering being a shepherd with a koolaid stand.
gerry, i may send you a resume! it would be cool to meet you either way!

God bless you too. It's good that you can think of others while you are facing your own troubles.

This isn't the first time I've found myself out of job/underemployed. The longest stint was three years. God provided the perfect job when I was down to the last of my savings. I've a ways to go, yet, this time. I have an application in with a company, and am waiting to hear back. It could be another month or two. It could be a no. I'm praying it's a yes and endeavoring to trust God to provide what's best, no matter what I pray for. :-)

Hi Stephen
Something, or more likely "Someone" must have guided me here. He works in strange and marvellous ways, doesn't He. I am very sorry to read about your job loss. It is very worrying and frightening to lose a job because it is a layer of security lost . . . . and of course bills still have to be paid.
Stephen, I know what you are going through because it has happened to me . . . . wait for it . . . . 5 times!! All redundances and all through no fault of mine. You might say six because recently after I retired I drove a mini dial a dide bus and they ran out of money - so bye bye Eddie. The last of the five redundancies occured about 20 years ago and I was so fed up with all the rejected job applications, some not even bothering to reply, I decided to set up my own Paintint and Decorating Company. Although it was a small concern it kept me busy until 5 years before retirement when I then entered the Ambulance Service for a p[rivate Ambulance company. Now I believe God guided me to do all this and He decided to take me out of the rat race of Middle Management, which I must confess I did not enjoy at all. Although it did not make a lot of money my family was never short of money (with the help of my dear wife working as well). I think this could perhaps be an opportunity for you to go it alone and use your vast photographic talents to further your career. Just a thought. Hope it goes well for you and please, I know it is difficult, try not to worry and hand it over to The Lord. God bless ~ Eddie

Isn't it glorious to see The Body of Christ at work? Thank you for always giving Him the Glory. He will provide. And then you will be able to give Him even more Glory through the words of your testimony! Praying that His very best for you and your family will be to receive that Provision soon! :)

eddie,
what a story of provision you have! i don't think we ever realize the wild road until we look back. you are right ... the bills DO keep coming!
i have no idea what path i will decide to follow. it will probably be grabbing anything i can to have some income while the thought process of direction continues.
it all still feels like a vacation until the paycheck doesn't arrive this week.
surely God watched over you through each of these setbacks. i thank you so much for your prayers.
your testimony of always having enough even though you did not earn a lot is very similar to the story found in 1 kings 17:8-16.
as for a career in photography, it would be a dream come true ... especially if i could work in tourism. would love to do hands-on photography instruction on-site for an australian tour company. that would be OK, don'tcha think? and thanks for the advice. i know i need to hand this process over to the Lord daily!
all the best. nikonsniper steve

it is glorious to watch the body of Christ doing what it was made to do! it is very humbling to be the recipient of such grace.
you know, i always wanted to be in control. when i was young i foolishly thought i was in control of things but ... i never was. now i have learned that it is all God. thank you so much for your part in that body. your encouragement comes at such a wonderful time. may your reward be great! nikonsniper steve

sally, you are amazing! we were total strangers and yet you have already partnered with us before in prayer for our daughter serving as a combat medic in south korea. what greater gift can you offer than your prayers? how great it will be to one day sit at His feet with you. may His face ever shine upon you and yours in London, Ontario. may your reward be great for your compassion to those in need.

Hi Steve
Perhaps you can be a photographer for a newspaper or magazine.Im not sure if it would pay much but You would be awesome at that and you could share the good news of Jesus too!Go for it brother!

thanks dj trish. as you know, i will speak about Christ to anyone that will listen. people seem to hear more when they are in pain. knowing Christ today really helps. i have considered that career option even though it doesn't typically pay that well. i have also considered being the world's largest jockey. can't you just see my horse literally dropping dead on the backstretch. thanks for your encouragement trish.

My thoughts and prayers are with you too. The last few years have been similar for me and God has always made sure we had food, shelter and family but most importantly His peace that surpasses all understanding I know He'll do that for you too.

Stephen I don't know if you remember me .. I did the drawing of your little granddaughter Gracie a while ago.. I'm so sorry to read about your bad time right now.. I will pray that you find something . and hopefully HE will help you.. Some years back I lost a 26 years old son, in a motorcycle accident. It was a tough thing to swallow, but I always knew that God was not to blame.. Things happen in life..

I will keep you in my prayers .

I've been away from the computer for a few days and just popped in here and read this.
I'm so sorry to hear about yet another job loss. My husband and I have been through this three times now. We're both in our mid 50's and well... It doesn't get any 'funner' the older ya get.
Let me assure you though, if we focus on the world economy and joblessness we'll miss what God's working in and through and with us. But if we focus on Him and not the situation, we'll be blown-away at the amazing discoveries that He'll reveal to us.
So... although I know you have always had an eye for the things of the Lord, if I could offer one word of advice to a photographer, I'd simply say, "focus".
Praying for you and also for all those you are praying for!

Psalm 125

1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the LORD surrounds his people
both now and forevermore.

3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
their hands to do evil.

4 LORD, do good to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.
5 But those who turn to crooked ways
the LORD will banish with the evildoers.

Peace be on Israel.
