Somewhere Over The Plumbing Rainbow

Let's Take-R Out And Sink-R

Pot Of Coffee And God's Word

This is where I go every morning now if I don't have to go out of the house. This is my chair and it sits in what is very much like an attic. We call this the birdhouse. It has a view across our back yard from a rather high perched position. It is here that I come to look for jobs online and draw for an AutoCad class I am taking at our community college.

I love this place. It is here that I find it most easy to be quiet before the Lord. I pray here for the needs of this family all over the USA and Canada and world. I read God's word here! It is from this very seat that I am ushered to His throne of mercy and grace. It is here that I am often reminded that God has not forgotten me and that He is well at work in my circumstances to bring good out of a very difficult situation.

For me, this spot is very sacred.

I hold grandchildren on my knee here. Last week, I wept for joy when the Lord came through providing the medication needs for my daughter with a severe life-long illness at no cost to us. I pray for people who I knew in my past and don't see as much any more. God is using this timeout in my life in very big ways to shape my remaining days. I am learning humility but I am also learning how to care for and speak to those in need of employment.

No matter who you are, I want to encourage you today to find this place in your life. This spot in my birdhouse is one of the very best things God has done for me. Seek this solitude in your world to read and pray. May the Lord deliver you from your struggles, afflictions and trails. But I also pray that you can live a life of joy ... even if your wait for relief is a long time.

In Jeremiah 33:3, it reads, "Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known." God is waiting to talk to you. He can't wait to hear from you!

Lord bless you today!
