Now THAT'S A Cabin!

A Handsome Steed

From Here To China

Here in his boyhood home, he dedicated himself to long practice and hard work on this piano. His efforts invited this musician to play the piano on many of his world travels for years after he left California. On several occasions he very competently performed in front of national audiences but he never recorded any great works. There were a few occasions that were captured by the world on television and are now part of America's history. Do you know this musician?

Joy And Bliss

(Original post from July 20, 2009 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the moon landing.)

I don't usually write. Most of the time I want my photos to just have names. I don't want to tell long stories because ... I don't want to dull the effect of what a photo means to you by telling you a long story about what it means to me. Frankly, if I were you, I wouldn't care what a photo means to me. I like picture books that say nothing. I know everyone isn't that way ... and that's OK!

But I have to tell you that being on the road away from home isn't all fun. I have now driven more than 2300 miles in a week. Different hotels every night. If you asked me where I was 3 days ago I couldn't tell you without my notes. Was that 5 days or 6 days ago? I dunno. I always miss my family when I am away. Mondays! Need I say more? Another week on the go!

I arrived at my Motel 6 a few minutes ago. I flipped on the bathroom light and was laughing my head off! I just want to thank all those toilet paper folders out there who never get thanks. This shot changed my day.

Complete joy and bliss. There are so many lines for this photo. It's a dirty job but somebody has to do it. I believe the Motel 6 Toilet Paper Rembrandt Artist for Roseburg, Oregon is amongst the best in the world. My hat is off to you!

So, perhaps my fellow bloggies can add their comments, funny lines and tributes to you ... whoever you are! God bless.
