Awesome photo Stephen! Are they birds or bats? My guess is birds. The reason I ask is that there is a colony of fruit bats that live in a suburb near ours & at dusk the bats fly over & look just like this. I have always referred to them as the flying monkeys...like out of the Wizard of Oz!

these are canadian geese flying south. they are however about the size of a port douglas fruit bat or flying fox.
