I love this shot. Wonderful composition.
Pretty, pretty!! we have so many in our yard, at least 15-20 - they stay around here all year round cuz they are our State (WV) Bird!!...debbie
Great shot....this is a shot that I want to capture someday! We don't have many here...and certainly no snow.
i thought your other little birdie was my favorite... now this one is.Oh I wish I had those kind of birds here in Nevada...ToOdLeS.ShEiLa
Gorgeous red...brilliant composition, the gray background really sets off the cardinal's color!
Gotta love those cardinals! Please check out my shot if you have time...http://ups-and-downs-with-anastasia.blogspot.com/2008/12/winter.html
Gorgeous shot...I agree with the comment above: the greyness of the background makes the red bird "pop"...really striking composition.
Hi Stephen, Thanks for looking at my photo. It was last fall that that was taken. The tree is a Hawthorne in my front yard and the cardinals, squirrels and now robins are enjoying those berries! Thought the berries made the picture extra special. Thanks!
Wow! Gotta love that Red!
beautiful shot...love the red :)
This is a stunning shot. I love it.
Montanagirl expresses my feeling ... stunning.
It's like a view I have when looking out from my window. A red-leaf three with grey birds :).
hey.. what bird is this?? is this a robbin?? needless to say, lovely shot!
well its a very common bird in the usa. it's a cardinal. the males are brilliant red like this and the females are a browny red ... my preference is the female. i find it's color shading to be a more classy look. in many cases i actually find the females more attractive. like red winged black birds of yeah and my wife.
