i am really proud of this photo. it's not mine. my mother just arrived back from england with this treasure of a day spent at the coton manor garden in coton, northamptonshire. this is an early spring photo of the bluebells. they really command a powerful presence in a few more weeks.

Stephen, I went to the Cotonmanor website, and now I really want to be there! It's such a beautiful place. We have wild bluebells here in Alaska. I had a lot in our yard at the house we used to live in, but fewer here at this house. They are such a beautiful flower, but very fleeting. They don't do well in a bouquet--you have to enjoy them in their natural setting. Guess I know what I'm going to be photographing come June!
