For some reason I like that a lot!

I think it is the central position of the old car and the patterns in the sky. It's almost like an open air stage. Great composition.

"We're on the road to nowhere... Ha!" Amazing place!

There used to be a trail of abandoned vehicles and household goods...ghosts of the migration of the thirtys to the promise of California.

I have so often wished I had photographed as much as I could and even if any of it was still there.

Don't you love that. I have a pic of that one on my webshot page. It is amazing what you will find on Route 66.

Dropped in to visit your blog and enjoyed looking at every photo, each interesting and telling a story. Will visit often.

I still hope that one day my wife and I can take the Route 66 tour. So much beautiful scenery. You definitely made this old heap take center stage Steve. I like this a bunch.

I doff my hat, er, wheels, in honour of the classic car and the roadway of the past it represents.

A bit sad . . .

The car abandoned and allowed to decay to the elements and yet there is beauty in this. The vehicle is also a piece of art.

Thank you for sharing

Just goes to show how artistic they were when they designed those old vehicles.

Nature vs. machine type of juxtaposition. Brilliant shot.

We've stood in a lot of the same places and take a lot of the same types of pictures. :o)
