If you're still up tonight would you do me a favor and vote for me - I'm in this little contest, and I'm losing by about 40 votes. You have a couple of hours left - the vote is for today Wednesday. I ask you because you graciously follow my blog. Thanks xo xo

That is a gorgeous shot! I love it! Ever thought of selling these or requesting a small donation from people to use these as desktop backgrounds???

Oh I love this shot, you have captured the sky wonderfully. Did you use a filter at all?

Davine, I don't use filters in digital photography. Sometimes you can achieve similar results by bumping the contrast and saturation in a digital file. I found that this is OK if you want to display photos online ... however, you have to be careful if you use a bumped photo at the photomats ... they often appear to dark unless you alter the photo back or use an unaltered (if that's a word) file. This sounds complicated ... but I can teach this in 5 minutes if I have someone looking over my shoulder at several software programs.

Meeko,
Please forgive me for this answer as I am not trying to offend ANYONE! Your suggestion is a good idea. I am not opposed to making a few bucks to help pay for the equipment I use BUT ... if no one liked these photos ... I would still keep sooting them just because I enjoy them.
I would rather that people would see the beauty in the photos and seek the Creator God as a result. Everything I shoot, I seek to bring glory to God, not me.

Awesome sky photo! Great colors and I love how the clouds are in a sort of half circle formation.
Do you see that? Very cool.
