Many years ago an elephant broke down our fence and ate the one clump of flowers I'd managed to grow...I was really put out and d'you know what our friends did? They bought us an elephant joke book and underlined the one:
What time is it when an elephant sits on your fence?
Time to get a new fence, of course!

Luckily it didn't put me off gardening!
