My Dad loves redwoods. When we were children he took us to see them, and whenever he has time off when on business on your side of the pond, he goes visit them too. There was a great article in National Geographic couple of months ago which I think he knows off by heart he read it so thoroughly!
Beautiful image. At first the trees didn't look as huge as I know they are and then I noticed the car in the photo. That really ads perspective. Nice job.
They are so majestic! I hope that one day I can visit the national park & stand beneath them. Just imagine the stories these multi- century old trees could tell...if only they had eyes, ears & could speak!
Beautiful scene Steve. Thanks for joining my little blog today. Will be visiting back soon and often. I too need a great escape sometimes. Imagining stories for your photos will help me get away on a budget.
This photo seems to me to speak to your situation right now and the journey you've embarked on. The redwoods always give me a feeling of being in a cathedral and God's presence seems very near. You can't see what's waiting around the corner for you right now, but He'll guide you as you navigate through that winding road ahead.

Oh my goodness, what a magnificent photo... they are absolutely enormous. Where was this photo taken? How old would these trees be?

I visited The redwoods back in April. My first visit and they were very humbling. Thanks for the reminder.
