Absolutely fantastic, it reminds me of the movie Star Trek V. Great shot.

It looks wonderful. We tried to get there once but the snow was too thick for our rental.

Isn't Yosemite the home of Yogi Bear? Great Photo!

Unknowingly, I just referenced Ansel Adams and Half Dome in my post today.

Available on PBS or through Netflix, "American Experience: Ansel Adams - A Documentary Film" (2002) is worth watching.

katherine,
well, he did. but my understanding is that he is now in a geriatric center and is often placed in a straight jacket due to misbehavior. on a brighter note, boo-boo is still going strong spending long days betting at the race track. winning a lot! which is nice because he sorta remained a vertically challenged midget bear his entire life.

Oh my God...you made me laugh! Good one Stephen. I loved watching Yogi Bear when I was a youngling...which really wasn't all that long ago! Thanks for the laugh!

If only I could have been there too. Love your part of the world.

Or did I say that before 10000 times. :-(

One of my favorite places in the whole wide world! I was there for my twentieth anniversary in December. Is that El Capitan? From the valley floor?

dutchbaby,
i am not sure. i thought it was half dome but i'm a nit wit and never asked. i am a run and shoot photographer. it's the only way i can get a 1000 shots a day.
