hey slim, i use a tripod on occasions where i need more light and when this old boy can't hold steady enough. i know i didn't use a tripod for this shot because i had a 17-55mm f2.8 lens and it was plenty bright outside for iso 200. but yes! i will use tripods if i need the steady hand. i really can't hold anything steady anymore under 1/50th of a sec even if i am bridging the lens against something. when i use my 400mm lens i really need to be at 1/200th to be safe and it is way better if i have the light for 1/400th. hope this helps! i have a manfrotto tripod for most applications. nikonsniper steve

Your landscapes are wondrous. Do you use a tripod? Thanks for sharing; I am enjoying your views.
