Somebody Loved ... that's exactly the message ... except it was my recalling from leaving my shoes all over the place. The "thanks Dad" was to my own pop for memories of finding my shoes in a snow bank. nikonsniper
In a small town I used to drive through there was a tree where all the teenagers would throw their old shoes, the effect was a shoe tree! Which i thought was pretty cool!
In response to Bogey (above)- I live in a university town and once I saw a giant cardboard cut out of R2D2 up a tree, it was there for months! ha!
There is a place near Travers City where the whole tree is covered with shoes. I love it....It was a memorial to an accident. This photo reminds me of the tree. Your work is amazing.

Ha ha! Now if they were only my size...
Sometimes your photos really spark my imagination.
I imagine your kids left their shoes all over the house and to end the battle you took them all and tied them up in a tree to teach them a lesson.
Probably not even close... but funny idea.

It reminds me of walking by some of the Frat houses around our Universities. Shoes aren't the only things I see in the trees.

Interesting pic - your family must know exactly what you mean by this:)

One of my very, very good friends has a shoe tree in her backyard. :) Love this.
I knew there had to be a shoe tree somewhere. :)
Ahhh - this one sparks memories of growing up in the inner city. I was facinated with it when I was a child and I still am. ;)
Good one!!!
