- I'm getting older every day and I am trying to photograph as many of those days as possible. I am Husband to 1, Daddyo to 5, Grand(Poppy) to another 5 (so far). I use Nikon Cameras and Lenses ... but I really believe that anyone can be a great photographer with ANY kind of camera. Photography has been great therapy for me throughout my life. It has allowed me to get away on my own and with close friends to see the wonders of creation. I am trying to record something in photography that will live longer than myself. I think it would be really fantastic if my great-great grand-children could see the photos I capture and in effect "see through my eyes" but for a moment. Thank you so much for your kind words of support and encouragement. I hope you enjoy what you see and are challenged in new ways to improve your own skills. I posted a poem in response to, "Fence Post Lookout" titled, "You Sing Your Song." I am blessed each day with a chorus of robins greeting the dawning of day.

It's really lovely. I wish you would give more location info, but it's interesting. We all have our things that are important to us. I find I'm pretty geo-referenced, and others are not. Your photos are captivating, and this is really special.

Beautiful shot and sky. I've scrolled down through your recent shots...amazing; can't decide which one I like best. Some of the places I recognize from a road trip to the Grand Coulee Dam I took many years ago. Your composition is wonderful and I really enjoy your creative titles for each post. Hi Stephen, I grew up in Oakville I went to Oakville Trafalger to start and then to White Oaks. I knew people back then in Blakelock. It is indeed a small world! We also look sound around the same age so don"t say a million years ago, maybe a thousand or so LOL.

this photo was taken between john day and prineville on highway 26. sorry i can't be more specific. i have seen similar photos to this all over washington and oregon. finding layers of mountains is easy here. you can get these all day long in layers of blue. this one is a sundown ... so it naturally casts more golds, oranges, and browns.
