Love these guys. They live in the cattails at the edge of the pond every spring through early summer. Then they leave to parts unknown, perhaps farther north?
We moved to a place on a salt marsh last year and these guys started coming to our feeder. My daughter thinks they look like they're in uniforms with fancy epaulets. Sort of Dr. Pepperish, and beautifully captured here.
