I used to live just across the Golden Gate from San Francisco—in Mill Valley. Alcatraz was my favorite place to visit. Great shot!

Wow, that's seriously intense! It was a well composed and nicely balanced photo before I read the title (I'm slow) but after it became a lot more than that.

no the basement was closed that day. something about bay sharks swimming in and out all day.

A fascinating capture Steve. I like the way the light "plays" through the roof and different window openings. Nice angles too. An interesting mix of apparent serenity (the ocean and distant mountains) and harsh reality. Thanks for sharing your God-given talents and encouragement.
