sundownerin, this was really funny to me too! it is of course luck and i didn't know it till i got back in the car. i shot this at a 400mm focal length. when i was looking through the lens i was not paying any close attention to the subject. i was concentrating on my breathing to hold very still for the shots. i wanted a crisp depiction of this art. when i got back to the car i saw the bird in several shots. the title was immediate. most titles are for me. nikonsniper steve

Great title!
I agree; great title! I didn't expect to see what I saw when I opened the picture. You have a wonderful imagination; good sense of humor.
Title made me laugh out loud! Good one!
Title encouraged me to take a closer look. Delightful.
Man, that had to be a group effort.
i lough and cant stop..... your title should get the pulitzer price!!
I love the face :)
Artistic little beggers those woodpeckers. But seriously this is fantastic! I love it...who did this?
Oh Stephen, that is just too funny!
Yes indeed that is a lucky lucky find and the perfect title. Very very funny.

i am not sure what you mean. i believe the woodpeckers did it because i didn't see nobody else there. ha!

I missed the woodpecker first...then I maximized the photo ..... and couldn't stop the smile....
Amazing.
Have you noticed the resemblance of the wooden face and Sam, the bartender on Cheers?
That's funny! And I'm so glad i read the comments, because I hadn't seen the bird!
