Was It Something I Said?

Did you ever have one of those days when you received 41 useless emails offering you everything you DON'T want? You know, ... offers that include everthing from identity protection and discount cruises to aluminum siding for your brick house. Obviously, ... It's the summer! Not as many significant emails. Our regular informers and many of you are just looking in on NikonSniper on the fly between swimming pools and patio barbeques. And I don't blame ya! I had messages this week from some of you traveling on vacation. I had an e-mail from someone that said they were trying to get on NikonSniper for 20 minutes in a hotel lobby. Now, that's a compliment! There always seems to be a line for computer access in a hotel lobby. Everyone arrives at the same time to check their email.
Well, I hope there has been a well deserved lull in the action over the past few weeks because you are getting to do things you can't do in bad weather. I hope you are all taking in the summer! I know it's officially summertime when 3/4 of my emails are offers for Viagra. UH, ... Was it something I said? Who puts you on that list? I also think it's funny that the same e-mail address sends these things every 15 minutes ... as if to say, How 'bout now?
Well, I pray all your travels are safe. May you inhale some relaxation ... even if you can only manage to find those moments in the midst of everything else going on in your everyday life. God desperately wants you to hear Him. It's a lot harder to hear Him if we are always running with an iPOD blaring in our ears. We all need to find stillness. I'm praying you find times to relax, read His word and think for a bit!
God bless you all.

Well Sniper, I tend to disagree on exactly when, where and how God hears us all as I know it is 24/7.

You may inquire as to how I know this and to that I say show me where it says it is not so.

Not debating here just pointing out what should be obvious.

Only in a cult such as Islam can you find directions and restictions on praying, therfore not to God but rather some entity that I dare say the polar opposite.

Please keep-up your fine work and may God Bless you and yours.

The day always goes better when we make time for HIM at the beginning - - and sleep is more restful when we take time with HIM at the end of our day, too. That's a good reminder from you.

I get those viaga emails too, hate them. I'm worried they may know something I don't ;)

I agree with you Steve. We need to slow down and listen to His still, quiet voice. Prayer is intimate. Can't do much of that when we're involved in busy-ness.

Meditation, prayer, stopping to smell the roses... It's all the same and it's all good. There is one God, one Father, loving all the same. All of us, in every religion, in every corner of the Universe. Live and let live. Show kindness and compassion, and you'll find God.
Steve, you said it well. I feel your calmness, and applaud your openness.
Peace.

It's been summer-and-a-half, here in New England--the 3 H's (hazy hot and humid, and maybe a fourth, lately: Hundred, as in degrees Fahrenheit). Ugh. Also, it's birthday season allll summer for us. I blame New England's chilly Autumns and snuggly winters for this..

At any rate, it is a good time to be up to one's neck in green ducky water AND contemplating the Lord! I hope your own summer is going beautifully.

As for the email ads, I am closing a couple of hotmail accounts due to endless daily offers for Viagra, Cialis, fake Rolex watches, and meds; AND from Nigerians, princesses, dukes and the FBI looking to give me unclaimed someone's unclaimed million$. I don't have that e-problem with Yahoo mail.

Must be on a similar wave length. I expressed it in my blog with one of my pictures.

Your welcome to the idea.

Enjoyed this post very much. Very truthful indeed. I find it very hard to blog during the summer due to being busy but always know that our winters will be long enough to find plenty to blog about as I am stuck inside. Take care!

I just took a 2-1/2 day moretorium from technology -- no phones, tv, blogging, etc.
So quiet and wonderful. A must for communicating with The Lover of our souls. Agreed.

Hey,

This is a question for the webmaster/admin here at nikonsniper.blogspot.com.

May I use part of the information from this blog post right above if I give a link back to this site?

Thanks,
Charlie
