Chasing Color In Illinois

My wife, Susan and I went out to shoot earlier today as the fall colors were near peak season here in Illinois. It was cold enough to have to break out the winter jackets for the first time. The colors are so incredible right now in some of the fields I have been watching for years. It really is the best time of the year to have a camera in your hand. I am always amused by the detail of the tiny new leaves from this years growth. God gave us this time of year to open our eyes to the glory of the harvest.

Colors are beautiful over here in Ohio, too. My husband and I also go together to photograph (digitize!) the beautiful things we see.

Agreed. Here in central Pennsylvania I am again in awe of the beauty that surrounds me.

Those red colors of the trees are something I remember from the only time I was in Michigan. I loved everything I saw in nature but in '85 (last century)it was very expensive to take photos so the memories are all I have.
Beautiful shot!!!
