On Eagle's Wings ... Isaiah 40:26-31

26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one,
and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
27 Why do you say, O Jacob,
and complain, O Israel,
"My way is hidden from the LORD;
my cause is disregarded by my God"?
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

"...but those who hope in the Lord....will renew their strength!". I would be defeated without that HOPE. He is my heartsong all day long. He is my Shepherd....I have everything I need.

Thanks for sharing this reminder, Steve. And I feel honored that you visited my blog - a man as busy as yourself, took time for me. Seriously, I am honored!

God bless the man with the camera -a camera in the hands of God. Keep him humble and joyful - witty and faithful. Bless his family & friends. Cover him with your protection - guide him in all his travels. Bless his simple mindedness - his eye for the ordinary, as he honors you, O Lord with his gifts and passion. You are the giver of gifts, O Lord and you have richly blessed Steve - this man with the camera - in so many ways. I thank you for his gifts and his choice to honor you.

May you shine upon his face...and give him your peace. Renew his strength when he grows weary - that he may soar where only eagles dare to go. Amen

There's the quote: "I'd rather see a sermon than hear one". I know that applies to how we live rather than what our words 'preach'.
But your photos are sermons. They speak volumes of who God is, what He's done, and how creation points to Him.
Thank you "Pastor Stephen".

A perfect photo shot at the perfect moment. No church of mortar and stone could ever rival the cathedral of nature--God's own church. As the year draws to a close, I'd like to thank you for all of the lovely photos you have shared with us all. I've been transported back to places I've visited, made curious about places I'd like to visit, moved by the sheer beauty of your subjects, laughed at your humor, and mostly have been grateful for the quiet moments in which I visit your blog.You've challenged me to look at my surroundings with a more discerning eye. Have wonderful Holidays and may 2010 offer you new adventures,inspirations,health, happiness and love.

Like eagles, we go around in cycles, but they can ascend with each circuit!
