dear Sniper,

thank you very much for your generous and detailed reply.
You could so easily have ignored my question!

I am still sorry that I cannot display your photograph in my followers list but, the fact of the matter is that for me words, stories, poetry are the important components of blogging and my snaps - that's all they really are - simply exist to illustrate the words.

I love your photographs and will continue to visit as many times as I can even if I won't be able to comment each time.

Happy Sniping!

It's so painful when we loose someone. But somehow I feel that the ones departed are still with us everyday (I don't say it in a spooky way!) to guide us and protect us! Love.

Steven, I'll Remember You was the title of one of my books, so it drew me in. But I do hope this wasn't someone who was close to you. If so, my sympathies... Your photos are always evocative and beautiful. This one, especially so.

thanks for all your kind wishes. this is not a recent photo but it was a dear elderly member of our family. she lived relying upon God. for us, this life is not the end and we will see her again. there is no pain in our victory over death.
i loved the photo. it was a beautiful setting. of course there are dear memories of anyone passing but this was not a horribly sad event. it was rather victorious. i am sorry if this makes no sense to some of you. she was a dear ... and i can still hear her laugh at my stupid comedy. i hope you all have those kind of people around you to cheer you on in Christ!

I came to comment on your heart touching photo...and have left, with so much more, after reading your comment above.

All I can say is a humble thank you and a resounding amen!

Sometimes I ask a kid - if you got lost in the woods and came upon a cemetary, could you figure out which way is North, South, East, West. I get a lot of blank looks. Not only do they not know, they don't know why.
