The skeleton of a tree against a far sky says so much to me about letting go. About decluttering. Anne Morrow Lindbergh wrote a poem that ended with the following words: "Blow through me life, pared down at last to bone. So fragile and so fearless have I grown." I always think of those words when I see the skeleton of a tree. Bare limbed. Having let go of leaves. Standing fearless.

ma! this is my favorite tree. i have thousands and thousands of photos of it in all seasons. there are probably a hundred of them on the blog. its about 7 miles from my home in northern illinois.
