What a beautiful old barn! I wonder if it was once part of group of more buildings or always alone out there in the middle of fields. Alpine meadows are often dotted with small barns. Farmers would store the hay there at harvest time and fetch it with large sleds in winter.
myletterstoemily, that's what i thought. west texas. there were tumbleweeds blowing across the highway. crazy weird. i had no idea. i thought the whole state was a rain forest. nikonsniper steve
There used to be an old barn that was leaning like this on the main highway into town here. It was all woven with vines from many many years of disuse. I really wanted to shoot it, but alas it collapsed before I got a chance to give it a try. Reminders of a simpler time...
Heckety, This barn was actually leaning showing signs that the end was near probably heading to the ground a little faster every year as the angle increases. NikonSniper Steve

I've seen many of these traveling back and forth across our state. I never get tired of them.
How come I live in such an old area we don't have any of these wonderful old shacks?? Love them.
That could almost be from the plains of Colorado! Beautiful!!
Wow! I love those golden undulating fields. Very inspiring.

Flat land, golden wheat, old barn, this beautiful picture looks like it could be from Saskatchewan! :) Love the coloring.
One could never post a photo of a barn that I didn't like.
Beautiful...
Is it me or is that barn leaning? Knew I shouldn't have had gin for breakfast...
