I can't believe this photo - it is just like being right in front of the color. I paint on location so I can see this kind of color! I look forward to following your blog.

Nice beaver house. They were nearly trapped out in the 1830's there abouts.
Beaver hats were the rage in London, Paris and New York. The hair was shorn close and shaped into a hat. Mercury was used in the process, thus the term "Mad as a Hatter"
