I love the Eastern Bluebird. Such humble birds, Great shot. They can really go away with a lot of bugs. I think mine are laying low lately I haven't hear or seen them lately. I just hope the stray cats or cold weather haven't got them. Helen

They live, do not complain. Both have to learn from them ...

Regards:)

This shot is amazing. It's a wonder the bluebird stayed still long enough for a picture.

Another great shot! Did you have to wait long to get this one?

nanny, no this was an easy capture with some extra toys. you might know that bluebirds are very skidish around people and their young. this bluebird was in a field 100 yards away from traffic.
i went out with a tripod and set my camera on yet aiming at the top of the box. i watched these bluebirds always land on their box to check out traffic before they fed their babies. i added a remote trigger switch to the camera so i could focus and shoot from far away. i sat in my car looking through a pair of binoculars and firing the camera while listening to jazz and drinking coffee back in the car. i was there for about an hour and got dozens and dozens of these both the male and female. maybe it sounds like cheating but its the only way i could the shot without becoming a bluebird.

Great capture. I have no end of trouble trying to get birds in my photographs. I have taken one this week in the garden, but haven't downloaded yet - if it is any good I will share :)
