Heading Home to Illinois Soon

Well, I am nearing the end of this road trip. Seeing the beautiful states of Washington & Oregon has been a first for me. I have been in most areas of the country and yet the Pacific Northwest has never been my pleasure to travel until now. This has been a very eye opening experience. Your mountains, forests, waterfronts, rivers, waterfalls, wildlife, cities, small villages ... and above all your people are truly wonderful. This has been a glorious experience for me from a photographic perspective. I look forward to my return on July 12th thru July 25th after some much needed time with my family. God is seen all over your states. His creation is richly displayed here and you are the beneficiaries of such incredible beauty. BE PROUD Washington and Oregon. I am very proud that we have you in the USA.

I bet you will be glad to be home. It is fun to visit other places... but there's no place like home.

What a beautiful expression of appreciation! Your photos here have captured the beauty perfectly. I moved to Oregon in 1976 and can honestly say that I have been in love with this state every day since. So glad you came and so happy that you will return.

I am very grateful to live here.

Stephen, thanks so much for bringing all of us along on your trip. You certainly hit the jackpot photowise!

I enjoy photo-intensive trips myself. It's the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of a perfectly composed photo staring back at me that keep me going.

I was impressed with the large expanse of these states also...they seem to communicate freedom and effortless growth. Your photos have been delightful...detailed, intense, and communicative (!) -this refers to your point of view- thanks for sharing, Stephen. <3

Thanks for making me homesick, Stephen! I'll have to go back for a visit now, too.

You have some great shots of the Pacific NW! I dream of having a Nikon to use for capturing my life but for now my Sony point and shoot will just have to do.

Thanks for finding my blog and have a safe trip home.

My parents used to live in Oregon, so good to see the photos. I loved the scenery around Portland and its environs. I still miss it.

This IS a gorgeous state (Washington) and I'm SO glad to be here right now! Almost July and temps in the 70's. Beautiful sunny days and soft cool breezes. You're coming back at a beautiful time. Can't wait to see where you'll be visiting! ~~Annie
