When do you get any work done with all the picture taking? I enjoy looking at all your pictures, and, I can't wait for the pictures of the Grand Canyon!

Gramma Ann!
I will do my very best for you at the Grand Canyon. I live to do this with every waking moment of extra time I have. I shoot thousands and thousands of photos and keep them in storage for release on days I just need to sit still.
I want the world to see the great things the creator God made. This world has many problems but His creation still shines through! I have been fortunate to have seen many things and I want all my great great grand-kids to see what I saw. The fact that you can enjoy some of them along the way is just a great bonus for me!
God bless you today!

What a breathtaking view, what a wonderful photo and what you stand for a deep happiness in such a place and to make this picture. It opens up his heart.

Steve...do you have your photographs published in any magazines? I also like to take shots of the everyday...but it is very local compared to what you do. Since a year ago February I have taken over 30,000 photos and store them on disks.
Can't imagine what you must do.

Lori,
I have nothing published at all. I have only had this blog for about 8 months. This blog is the first time my photos have been seen in the outside world. However, I had more than 600,000 files stored before I ever posted the first one. That represented about 5 years of shooting with 5 different Nikon cameras. Now I shoot roughly 300,000 per year. The storage has become an issue because I have them double-backed up.
I feel I might have some that are publishable (if that's a word) ... but that has never been a strong motivator for me. I simply love photography. I would keep shooting even if no one else liked what I was doing. I feel like it is the best thing for me ... spiritually (if that makes sense). I feel so much better in nature and seeing what I believe the Great Creator made that I receive all the joy that matters to me ... even before anyone else seez it.
I DO think it's very cool that others enjoy! It DOES encourage me to keep at it ... but I just love doing this. There is nothing like sitting in a creek photographing frogs or red-winged black bird nests. Or laying prone in a bank of snow ... taking pictures of dark-eyed juncos! For me it is joy!
All the best.

Oh, lucky, lucky the one who owns that place. What better treasure could he ask for? (Except for Love...)

Beautiful! I love the colours! Named appropriately, it looks like some exotic coral reef where the waters receded, or some ancient sea bed.
