Hey, Patrina! ... It's Still Raining In LA!

Here is a photo taken this afternoon during my drive from Los Angeles down to San Diego. Jealous? Well, perhaps you have wondered why most of the photos shown on NikonSniper are from clear weather days when you know the weather is lousy where I am.

The answer is simple. I shoot like crazy (2000-3000 on a weekend) when the weather is good and I post many of these shots throughout the week when it's pouring outside.

I just wanted you all to know that the sun doesn't always shine on my path.

That looks like rain we're used to up here. Where you are this looks like the recipe for a flood.

This was so cool to see on my blog sidebar - "HEY PATRINA..." I needed that smile! What you don't know, is I prayed for rain on Tuesday. I actually wrote it in a comment on a blog :)
this is what I prayed:

Let it rain, Lord! Let it Rain down healing waters that cover the masses, in Haiti as well as all over the world - in blogland and on each one of us reading this right now. May Twenty 10 be a glorious year to see and experience God's healing touch! - May it be felt all over the world!

I just feel like this is a season that God wants to prepare the land for his healing waters. It started raining here Tuesday night the Lord reminded me of my prayer on Tricia's blog. It rained again last night - with such a force and rumbling in the heavens like I've never heard before :) It woke me up even with earplugs. It was scary! The Lord reminded me again of my prayer. Then I kept reading from other bloggers today how it was raining in their neck of the woods. Then your post about Noah! So I searched for a weather map of rain and saw that half of the US was covered in rain today! I was laughing already when I saw the weather map - but then I see my name in print on my blog and I'm thinking I got a personal message form God! :) It was so funny! You just blew me away, Steve. Please don't get mad at me for the rain. But I do believe God wants to pour out His spirit all over the land. Ready or not....

If He asks you to build a boat, would you?

Patrina,
I have had very chilling signs that God was hearing my prayers. It doesn't happen often enough but when it does it feels great.
Would I build a boat? No, not at my age! He would have asked me sooner considering my medications. But, I am willing to photograph its construction. Does that count at all?

Thanks Vera ... I am kicking around a few ideas if the sun pops out. Not sure which way I will go yet. Either way I am about 6 days ahead for photo releasing. That means if I take it today ... it won't show for about a week. It really helps to be able to auto release photos. I learned how to do that during my Christmas photo recess. Have a great weekend.

Don't have to be jealous... I have the same stuff here minus the traffic.

Be careful driving.
