That looks like a tree from a dream. It would make a great movie tree also, but I think it would be better in a dream. I love the colors and how the tree stands out from the beautiful scenery.
If I had to pick a favorite of today's photos, it would be this one. There is just something about a tree for me. The complexity? The simplicity? The imagined growth from a tiny start.
I agree with Dragon.. it looks like a picture from a dream....Would you like to wirte about making this picture..about equipment you used...:))Regards.
bush babe, i totally for sure know what you mean. this tree is a total snob! i sat there talking to it for hours and ... nothing! i mean lighten up! there were no trees within a hundred yards to threaten this thing. all i am saying is this one was so standoffish. i was just asking her about the "early days" when she was just a stick. oh well! but i had a cottonwood when i was little that would never shut up! so yeah i KNOW they have personalities. especially when i take xanex! nikonsniper steve
I just love a big beautiful Oak Tree Stephen! Nice photo. My hubby bought me a new motorcycle!! I'm a little bit excited about that! Just waiting to bring it home later this week. Now if it would just warm up enough to ride down here in the non sunny south!!!

You've got so many nice photos on your blog. I've browswed for awhile and enjoyed my visit.
This lovely tree would make a great subject for a pen & ink drawing. I may give it a try.
I love your site. I've been wandering around it a bit. :)
