becky, this photo was cropped, not photoshopped. shot around 1/1000 of a sec i think. you should see the good ones! i will release more on these several similiar birds in days ahead. i wish i knew the name of the bird. i know i caught these in a mating ritual with spectacular flash in the reds. just wait till you see! nikonsniper steve
That is a magnificent picture - too bad you don't know the bird. I love photographing birds too. God continues to bring the most unusual birds to Shepherd's Walk - here in NJ. Thanks for joining TRUTHSHARER.
I will send you a link to see the birds that He had brought to SW. It is on one of the posts from awhile back.
These are great photos here - all of them! God has given you a gift! Receive it!
huh, no kidding?! i clicked to enlarge & couldn't quite figure it out. i've never seen anything like it! awaiting more posts of this curious bird... :)

Awesome! I think it might be some kind of grouse.
I'd say that this is a Grouse but have no idea which one. I'll leave the ID to someone who knows western birds.
Awesome!
... but never seen that bird before!!!
Steve, you have to admit when you look at this bird, God has quite a sense of humor. This looks like two birds stuck together.
