No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus

The words to this song have meant more and more to me as I have aged. Even tonight as I am living under a fair amount of stress I can still find relief knowing God is in control.

If I could only spend an hour with you ... I could talk about photography ... if that's all you would allow.
BUT, I guess I would rather simply tell you how Jesus has made my life joyous even in the dark trials of life. Jesus has changed my life and I am convinced that no matter how dark your situation ... Jesus can and will change your life too if you'll let Him.

Here are the words to the song, "No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus".

I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus,
Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true;
I would tell you how He changed my life completely,
He did something that no other friend could do.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus,
There's no other friend so kind as He;
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,
O how much He cared for me.

All my life was full of sin when Jesus found me,
All my heart was full of misery and woe;
Jesus placed His strong and loving arms about me,
And He led me in the way I ought to go.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus,
There's no other friend so kind as He;
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,
O how much He cared for me.

Ev'ry day He comes to me with new assurance,
More and more I understand His words of love;
But I'll never know just why He came to save me,
Till some day I see His blessed face above.

No one ever cared for me like Jesus,
There's no other friend so kind as He;
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me,
O how much He cared for me.

How long have you been a Christian and how old were you at conversion? I can tell you love HIM very much. I was 24 when I was saved - - - - and that would be 35 years ago!

I am not a photographer, but I love to take pictures. But more then that, I love Jesus. Who could paint the sky with more beauty?? Who could touch the waters as He does? I am so glad that I found the love of Jesus and that HE does care for me. I've just found your blog. Thank you for such a beautiful post!

"Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky."

You are so right. It seems like the world is trying to remove Jesus from it. He is the very thing we need most at this time!
Loved these lyrics. Happy Sunday to you.

Oh if only the unbeliever would open their hearts to Him. What a world we would live in! Bless you for all that you do and for spreading the good news about our Savior, Jesus Christ! Blessings

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.

When darkness seems to hide His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

Oh My!! That song brought beautiful tears to my eyes. One of my all-time favourites. You know, you can't beat the old gospel songs for their words and sentiments. Thank you thank you thank you!!! I have been a Christian for a long time but today I needed those words!

We sang the old gospel song in worship service yesterday: "Can't nobody do me like Jesus; can't nobody do me like the Lord can; can't nobody do me like Jesus; He's my friend!" Praise Him! I can hear George Beverly Shea now.

Thanks for posting Charles Weigle's lovely song. (Today, as I write, is the 139th anniversary of his birth.)

If you enjoy reading about our hymns and their authors, I invite you to check out my daily blog on the subject, Wordwise hymns. (There are a couple of articles on Weigle today.)

And if you’ll excuse a brief “commercial:” If you do not have a good book on the subject of our Christmas carols, I encourage you to take a look at my own, Discovering the Songs of Christmas. In it, I discuss the history and meaning of 63 carols and Christmas hymns. The book is available through Amazon, or directly from Jebaire Publishing. (Might make a great gift too!)
