New Era In My Journey Has Begun

Well, this morning I officially entered the unemployment line in America after 24 years, 5 months, and 26 days working for the very best of companies. A grand ride that has now come to a sudden stop. I literally traveled the world in the printing industry. My prayers shall remain upon the lives of the people and company I worked for as they press on in a very tough economic environment. I have made many friendships that will last the rest of my days.

I will be taking a bit of time to think through and pray about what God would have me do in the next phase. For many years I have sought God for change. Well, change just arrived and there really are so many directions I could go with this life. God is in full control here and I am looking for His leading in how I should proceed. I have entertained the idea of several different careers over the years that might bring more glory to Him. So stay tuned. I am really "jacked up" about this change and I am open to anything so don't be surprised if you find me in a circus clown outfit entertaining grandchildren or feeding bears by hand in the zoo. I have always wanted to hang in a bucket over Niagara Falls to get photographs. I have been blessed. I am blessed! I already HAVE victory! I know where this journey ends. I know the King of kings! Living with Jesus makes this trial a whole lot more safe!

So with a very open mind and yes, some anxiety ... I look forward to this next step along the way. Would really appreciate your prayers!

Bless your heart, times of sudden change do unsettle the strongest of us, yet, as you say the Divine is always within us, and of course guiding us.
Allow the flow of nothingness to create your new tomorrows.

What an adventure. So far I worked as a postman, fisher, waiter, teacher, in a supermarket, and since May am officially unemployed as well.
Nevertheless, keep on working as a private teacher.
Wishing you a safe step ahead and a only success in what's ahead.

Praying for peace of mind and heart, courage in stepping into a new future, strength to do what you need to do, wisdom to recognize unexpected opportunities, and always love abounding. You are not alone. You already know that God is aware of you. He has worked tirelessly to fill your heart, now follow it. It's scary and exciting. :-)

Our lives if our own would constantly go awry, but when we recognize Him as the one in control, He will never lead us astray or let us down. Prayers and God's blessings!

As always, you are a great testament to our Lord Jesus. You seem at peace - a kind of peace that only comes from knowing the Lord. My prayers are with you, Steve. God's certainly got a plan. JOY JOY JOY! I look forward to you hearing how God is using you in this new season.

God bless you and the family

Hi Steve,
I am sure you will be amazing at whatever you do. I have always thought that you would be awesome working with teens, you have a way of connecting with them.

I am praying you will find work that you will enjoy and will be able to honour God as well.

When one door closes another opens. Losing a job is always hard, especially one you've held for so long, but often it's an opportunity to move on to something better and more fulfilling. God bless, and I'll keep you in my prayers.

In '92, my husband had to do the same thing - - and not by choice either. The good news is God was very faithful during this time - - - but it did hold anxious moments for my husband as he felt such responsibility as a provider. However, it was one of the sweetest times for us because we got to be together many more hours each day. I will pray that God will give you encouragement especially when you need it and will also make HIS path for you very clear.

Sometimes job loss is the way God chooses to cause us to close a favorite chapter and move to the next. Whatever's up next will advance you in your goal of glorifying Christ.

Praying that God meets your needs as you turn the page.

Blessings,

Steve, you don't strike me as the type of person that goes through life with no plan at all. I'm sure you have several ideas running through your mind right now. Do take just a bit of time for yourself and your family before you climb into your next position. We'll say a prayer for you knowing that everything will work out as it should. I have had a career change or two and I look at them as opportunities.

Steve prayers are winging your way. God knows your worth and probably doesn't worry too much about what job you do because He knows that you will glorify Him in all your choices. I had the same type of abrupt change. During my "break" I started a new blog totally different from my picture blog. Now I am employed again and may main work is to balance time to share my voice. You know God, He sent technology to spread his word. Praying for you and peace to your family.
