Kenia, Believe me ... I understand if you doubt the existence of God. This world appears very messed up in many ways ... but yes, I do believe there is a God who loves us all and sent His Son, Jesus, to save us. I understand if that is not your world view ... and I DO respect your view. My life has brought me to discover and believe in the God of the Bible and I know that offends many people. That is not my intention in any way. I am living the remainder of my life to take pictures that I hope people enjoy. I am in many ways trying to capture photographic images of my God's handiwork, His beautiful creation of earth and YOU too. So, yes, I do believe in a God. And my belief in that God makes me pray for His blessings on people. Today, and this weekend, I especially pray that God would bless those who have served their country. I pray that blessing on your country too. God bless. NikonSniper Steve
Your post in answer to Kenia was heartfelt and sweet. I would be totally satisfied without war or unrest, starvation and misery... but with each lessons are learned.
Thank you for your post, words, and insight. As well as your beautiful photos.
Stephen, thanks for the patriotic message to remind us all of just how lucky we truly are. Two weeks ago I attended a funeral for a young family member killed in Iraq. This Memorial Day has a close to home message. Thanks
Hi Stephen, Nice to meet you. Nowadays it's easy to take shots everyone takes photos but a few knows how to capture the essence of a place, the right moment, the little thing which will give a good photo. You have this talent.
Hi Steve, Nice to meet you and thank you for becoming a follower to my blog. I have joined yours as well. Your photos are wonderful. You are very talented. Happy Memorial Day with honor to those brave men and women who gave their lives so we might have the freedom to take pictures and paint.
Stephen, if you get to Oregon, don't forget the beaches of southern Oregon, the most dynamic views you'd see anywhere. Also, Bandon Dunes, some of the finest, natural links you'll find anywhere.
Stephen, thank you for stopping by my blog. Your photography is beautiful. It is evident in your work that God has truly given you a talent through which to show His creation. I, too, am thankful for past and present service men and women who serve our Country. May God's richest blessings be poured out upon them and their families.
Thanks for following my blog. I enjoyed your "about me" comments and I share your philosophy of photography - I'm not very good at keeping a written journal, but I love to "photo document" just about all of my familie's activies. I hope my kids will appreciate it when they are older. For now, they are more than a little bit excited when I forget to take my camera somewhere! (Which doesn't happen very often!)
OH, and P.S. Your photos are AWESOME! I was surprised and excited to see Lamoille Canyon in your collection of shots - I used to live right there in Spring Creek - great friends and memories!

may God give a double portion to their service!
Short, simple & an important point. I spoke to an adult yesterday who was wondering why she had a 3 day weekend........... ~Mary
I am not an American but I thought I would just say that I thought you in your answer to Kenia made a very sympathetic impression.
God bless
Oh may she wave......and continue. Please G-d bring our troops home safely. Beautiful image.

My sentiments exactly. I am so glad we've maintained this 'holiday' in spite of the furniture sales, etc. Beautiful shot also.

Thank you for being one of the few who seem to remember Memorial Day isn't about BBQ's and picnics.
