barbra joan!
great to hear from you! thanks for your kind words. yes, gracie is doing great. i have to fight to get hugs from her over the last few months but that usually wears off in time. at least it did with the older three. i think all my grandkids think i am a complete nut based on my goofball behavior when i am near them. maybe grandpops realize later in life that they missed too much of their own kids at the same age. so great to hear from you again.

When my sister was in college in St. Louis and then again when our daughter went to grad school at U of I in Champaign, we would drive from Chicago to see them for various reasons. The entire drive (practically) was just like this, one farm after another with nothing but field after field separating them. By the time we arrived at our destination, we felt that we had driven past the same farm over and over and over again, because they all looked just like this!
